Job Title: Sales Manager – Solar Energy Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager with a background in Solar Energy to lead our sales operations, drive business growth, and expand market presence. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of solar products/solutions, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals in the solar energy market.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to drive performance and productivity.
  • Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and expand customer base (B2B/B2C/Utility, depending on company focus).
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive analysis, and potential client segments.
  • Present and promote solar products/solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project execution.
  • Track sales metrics, prepare regular reports, and forecast revenue.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3–7 years of sales experience in the Solar Energy industry (modules, inverters, EPC solutions, rooftop/commercial/utility-scale projects).
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, financing models, regulatory frameworks, and market trends.
  • Proven experience in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead a sales team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
