Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Core Java.
  • Write efficient, scalable, and robust code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement features related to multithreading, concurrency, collections, and JVM optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Develop and enhance RESTful services and backend components.
  • Perform unit testing using JUnit/Mockito to ensure code quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application performance issues.
  • Work with SQL databases for data design, queries, and optimization.
  • Use version control systems (Git) and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections framework, Streams & Lambdas.
  • Hands-on experience with multithreading, concurrency, and synchronization mechanisms.
  • Good understanding of JVM internals (garbage collection, memory management).
  • Experience working with REST APIs and backend service development.
  • Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, Mockito).
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot (even though core-focused).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
