Core responsibilities

  • Prospecting and lead generation: Identify new sales opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling within an assigned territory.
  • Client meetings and presentations: Meet with potential and existing customers to present and demonstrate products or services.
  • Sales execution: Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close sales to achieve sales targets and quotas.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Reporting and administration: Track sales activities, update customer records in a CRM system, and prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Market and competitor analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proven sales experience and a track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems.
  • A bachelor's degree in sales or marketing is often preferred.
