Postion Overview

We are seeking a
detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Assistant
to support the financial operations of our India office. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting, working closely with our
Finance Manager (UK)
and local operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with
    accounts payable and receivable
    , including processing invoices and payments.
  • Support
    monthly payroll administration
    , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and carry out routine bookkeeping tasks.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and petty cash accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of
    monthly and quarterly financial reports
    .
  • Support budget monitoring and tracking of expenditure.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant regulations.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
    (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
  • Professional certifications such as
    CA-Inter / ICWA / Diploma in Accounting
    are an advantage.

Experience & Skills

  • 7–10 years of experience
    in accounting, payroll, or finance administration.
  • Proficiency in
    accounting software
    (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounts administration.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Integrity, reliability, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
