Dealer Development Manager (Automotive)

Headsup Corporation is hiring an on-site Dealer Development Lead based in India to own dealer acquisition, onboarding, commercial negotiations and performance optimisation across assigned territories.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end dealer lifecycle: identify, recruit, onboard and enable new dealers to achieve sales and service objectives.
  • Define and execute channel strategies to expand coverage and improve dealer productivity against monthly and annual targets.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, incentive schemes and SLAs; structure agreements that balance profitability and growth.
  • Partner with Sales, After-Sales, Parts and Marketing to drive trade activations, dealer training and local demand generation.
  • Monitor dealer KPIs (sell-through, inventory, CSI); conduct field audits and deliver actionable improvement plans.
  • Build territory plans and forecasts; present network performance and expansion proposals to leadership.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in dealer development, channel sales or distribution management within the automotive sector (India).
  • Demonstrable success in dealer onboarding, network expansion and hitting sales/market-share targets.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial structuring skills for dealer agreements and incentive programs.
  • Hands-on with CRM/DMS tools and data-driven reporting; advanced Excel for forecasting and analysis.
  • Willingness to work on-site with frequent travel across assigned territories.

Preferred

  • MBA in Marketing/Sales or equivalent.
  • Experience with OEM or large aftermarket dealer networks.
  • Exposure to dealer finance, logistics and P&L responsibilities.
