Are you passionate about building high-impact financial technology? Join our dynamic EJV team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in developing and enhancing our fixed income information and analytics products. You'll help shape the future of financial data systems that power global markets

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Perl-based backend systems that process critical financial data.
• Enhance and support our Fixed Income system, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and improve legacy codebases.
• Optimize database interactions and batch processing pipelines for large-scale data workflows.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.

• 5 years of hands-on experience in Perl backend development on Linux/Unix platforms.
• 4 years working with relational databases such as Sybase ASE, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, including schema design and stored procedure development.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming in Perl and modular software design.
• Proficiency in SQL, DBI, and advanced data structures.
• Experience with ETL systems, batch processing, and enterprise logging frameworks.
• Familiarity with CGI/Mod Perl, web application servers (e.g., Apache), and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
• Ability to work with and modernize legacy codebases.
• Knowledge of transaction processing, data consistency, and error handling in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Bonus points for experience with:
  • Perl testing frameworks (e.g., Test::More, Test::Class)
  • XML/JSON parsing and generation
  • Cloud computing (certification is a plus)
  • Financial markets, especially Fixed Income products
