Position Title: Sr. GM Projects Execution 



Level: Senior Management



Reporting To: Head Projects Execution



Position Purpose

Projects Execution Site is responsible for driving day-to-day co-ordination & issue resolution to ensure efficient execution of projects involving Mechanical, E&I and Civil execution work on sites through hands-on co-ordination, project management, monitoring and timely reporting.

Strategic Responsibilities
  • Identify requirements of all projects & highlight site specific constraints & issues for resolution
  • Create value for PI through delivery of projects on cost, time, quality and safety parameters
Operational Responsibilities
  • Regularly generate reports & communicate project progress in terms of key metrics of timelines, cost & compliance
  • Develop and implement detailed project management plan looking at components around schedule, resources, approvals, constraints, risks, project costs, vendors etc.
  • Build capability of and maintain a strong and qualified project execution team
  • Support liaising with government and other authorities for project approvals
  • Ensure strict adhere to project management processes of PI
  • Coordinate between different project functions to effectively deliver the project
  • Detail out and clarify project scope to project team and vendors, maintain project scope avoiding overruns
  • Conduct timely project monitoring and review for maintaining schedule and cost control
  • Ensure project risk management and issue resolution
  • Manage all project contracts and claims
  • Ensure divisional compliance to organizational policies
  • Develop KPIs to measure the performance of Projects Execution Department to ensure high productivity
Financial Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to budgeted capital and revenue expenditure for Projects Execution Department at site
  • Ensure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frame
People Responsibilities
  • Drive initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & professional development initiatives for the team
  • Highlight workforce capacity gaps and need for recruitment in alignment with Corporate HR policies
  • Actively sponsor, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team
  • Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the team
  • Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI's values, vision & mission and exemplifying effective leadership, initiative and persistence needed to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Education Qualification
  • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical
  • Master's Degree from a reputed college
Work Experience
  • 10-12 years in Project Execution
