Senior Learning and development Manager

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading the organisation's learning strategy to build a future-ready workforce. This role partners with business leaders to identify capability gaps, develop leadership pipelines, build high-impact training programmes, and embed a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute the organisation-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals.
- Build a structured learning framework including competency models, learning paths, and leadership development journeys.
- Establish L&D governance, budgets, policies, and evaluation mechanisms.
Capability Building & Program Design
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) across functions and levels.
- Design and deliver scalable learning programs (classroom, virtual, blended, experiential).
- Build leadership development programs for emerging leaders, mid-level managers, and senior executives.
- Oversee onboarding, technical training, behavioural training, and compliance training.
Learning Operations
- Manage LMS/LXP platforms, digital learning libraries, and learning tech solutions.
- Measure training effectiveness through KPIs such as ROI, performance impact, and business outcomes.
- Ensure high-quality vendor management and external partnerships.
Talent Development & Culture Building
- Lead career development frameworks, IDPs, succession planning, and coaching initiatives.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and internal mobility.
- Drive initiatives such as mentoring programs, coaching, and learning communities.
Team Leadership
- Lead and coach the L&D team, trainers, instructional designers, and facilitators.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused culture.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of modern L&D methodologies, adult learning principles, and blended learning.
- Expertise in leadership development, competency mapping, instructional design, and capability building.
- Experience with LMS/LXP tools and digital learning ecosystems.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven approach to measuring learning impact and ROI.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive organisational change.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's/Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, or related field.
- 10–15+ years of experience in L&D, Talent Development, or OD.
- Proven experience building enterprise-level L&D strategies and leadership programs.
- Certifications in instructional design, coaching, psychometrics, or facilitation are an added advantage.
