The Accounting and Reporting Specialist will be responsible for managing accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple global business units. This role focuses on cost accruals, budgeting, management reporting, and reconciliation of P&L and balance sheet accounts. The candidate will also collaborate closely with global finance teams, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective business partnering across departments.

This position requires a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills, the ability to handle complex global accounting matters, and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting and reporting for global business entities and internal management reporting.
  • Handle cost accruals, budget finalization, business partnering, and P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist and coordinate with US and local finance teams on ad-hoc reporting requests, analyses, and complex accounting matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Treasury, Financial Systems, and FP&A, to ensure financial alignment and compliance.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Document and streamline accounting and reporting processes, supporting a transition toward greater automation.
  • Support global and local management with timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports.
  • Participate in audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS).

Required Candidate Profile:

  • Strong ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible to work in US time zones/shifts.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory).
  • Professional Certification: CPA / CA / Cost Accountant strongly preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting-related work experience, including exposure to US GAAP accounting, management, and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in a large multinational organization with multi-currency operations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting systems such as QuickBooks and Oracle.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
