Middleware Admin/ Senior Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of senior consultant specialist

In this role, you will

• Install, configure and manage middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat and NGINX, IBM MQ.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub.
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments using ansible, shell scripting, Python or similar tools.
• Integrate middleware with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g Grafana, AppD)
• Manage and secure secrets using tools like HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secret Managers.
• Implement high availability, scalability and disaster recovery strategies for middleware environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud and Application teams to ensure seamless middleware integration.
• Troubleshoot performances and configuration issues across environments.
• Maintain and document standard operating procedures, automation, playbooks and runbooks

• Troubleshooting expertise across IHS, WAS, and Plugin components.

• Installing fix packs for WAS/IBM HTTP Server/Plugin.

• Proficient in heap dump/thread dump analysis using ISA Lite, and working knowledge of AppDynamics for monitoring application performance and server health.

• Setting up of App dynamics agents and extensions.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience with WebSphere Application Server ND, IBM HTTP Server, Plugin Administration, and WebSphere Portal Server in a Linux environment.

• Install, configure and manage middleware technologies such as WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat and NGINX, IBM MQ

• Proven ability to build, configure, and support assigned projects, ensuring high-quality delivery through to production deployment.

• Hands-on experience installing WebSphere Application Server ND, IBM HTTP Server, and related middleware technologies such as Apache and Tomcat.

• Proficient in deploying J2EE applications (WAR/EAR) using both admin console and Jython scripts.

• Capable of implementing production changes under tight schedules while maintaining high quality.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments.

• Experience with SSL certificate renewal for IBM HTTP Server / Websphere Application Server and HSM certificates along with working knowledge of the WAS keystore/truststore, ciphers and protocols.

• Skilled in enabling global security with LDAP in WebSphere.

• Knowledge of SSO and configuring Security Domains within WAS.

• Working knowledge of WebSphere Liberty.

• Expertise in setting up environments for Apache and Tomcat.

• Familiarity with Transmit will be considered an advantage.

• Strong Linux command-line skills.

• Familiarity with ITIL procedures and experience working with change management tools such as CA Service Desk.

• Proficiency in scripting using Shell, Python and Jython.

• Experience with Jenkins job configuration and strong understanding of Groovy scripting.

• Hands-on experience using Ansible REST API, writing Ansible playbooks, and implementing them through Ansible GUI.

• Available for on-call 24 X 7 for  PROD support along CR support
