PE COORDINATOR

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive school sports and physical education program across all age groups.
  • Team Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff and assign duties for various sports and events.
  • Infrastructure & Budget: Oversee the maintenance of sports facilities, manage the departmental budget, and procure necessary equipment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all sports activities adhere to school safety protocols, relevant sports regulations, and ethical standards.
  • External Representation: Coordinate inter-school sports events, tournaments, and serve as the official representative for the school's sports activities.

Required Skill Set

  • Athletic & Coaching Expertise: Deep knowledge of various sports and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor staff and students.
  • Administrative Efficiency: Strong planning, organizational, and logistical skills for managing schedules, budgets, and facilities.
  • Leadership & Motivation: Proven ability to lead a diverse team, motivate students, and foster a culture of sportsmanship and physical fitness.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaising with staff, students, parents, and external organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed. / M.P.Ed.) is mandatory.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in coaching and teaching Physical Education.
  • At least 3-5 years in a Sports Coordinator, Head of Department (HOD), or similar leadership role within a recognized school or institution.
  • Certifications: Relevant coaching certifications or advanced training in sports management are highly desirable.
