Job Title: Business Development Manager

With a strong manufacturing focus and service offerings (including printer repair), we deliver quality solutions to customers across diverse sectors.

Role Summary

As the Business Development Manager you will spearhead the growth of our business by identifying new markets, building key partnerships, increasing sales of our product range (barcode labels, label printers, scanners, etc.), and strengthening relationships with existing clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with our company's manufacturing-and-supply model, enhance brand presence, and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities: new customers, new sectors, new geographies (domestic & export).

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, channel partners and OEMs.

Understand our full product range (barcode labels, label printers, barcode scanners, mobile computers, thermal printers) and position them effectively to customers.

Generate sales leads, prepare proposals, conduct client presentations & negotiations, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.

Coordinate with manufacturing, operations and service teams (e.g., printer repair) to ensure customer requirements are met, delivery schedules kept, and quality standards maintained.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing strategies, customer feedback, and suggest product/service improvements.

Work with marketing team to develop campaigns, trade-shows participation, collateral, and other promotional activities to support business development.

Provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline updates and reports to senior management.

Develop strategic plans for growth of new product lines and export channels.

Ensure after-sales support and customer satisfaction to foster repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or relevant field. MBA preferred.

3-5 years of proven experience in business development / sales, preferably within manufacturing or industrial equipment (labels, printers, etc.).

Strong technical understanding of barcode/label solutions, printers, scanners or related hardware would be a plus.

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple levels (end-users, distributors, channel partners).

Self-motivated, target-driven, with strong planning and organizational skills.

Comfortable travelling for client meetings, exhibitions, and export-related sales.

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; understanding of export sales/legalities desirable.

Good business acumen, analytical mindset and initiative to drive growth proactively.

Achievement of quarterly/annual sales targets (new business existing accounts)

Number of new clients / markets opened (domestic & export)

Growth in revenue from target product lines

Customer retention rate / repeat business volume

Pipeline health (leads, opportunities, conversion rate)

Profitability & margin improvement in sales deals
