Role & responsibilities

  • Lead the research, design, and development of new modular furniture products and components.
  • Conduct reverse engineering on existing products to improve design, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Develop 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD (mandatory) and ZWCAD/Pytha (preferred).
  • Perform simulation and analysis for structural strength, material behavior, and product performance.
  • Select and evaluate suitable materials (especially steel, aluminum, and Modular Furniture) for design and production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams production, purchase, quality, and marketing to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization.
  • Prepare and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, and product documentation.
  • Conduct prototype development and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Research and implement new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods to enhance product innovation.
  • Support the continuous improvement of existing designs and production processes.
  • Ensure all designs meet ergonomic, safety, and functional requirements.
  • Provide technical support during product trials and production ramp-up.
