About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Database Developer with 1–2 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, experience with relational databases, and the ability to optimize queries for performance. You will work closely with the development and data teams to support application data needs, reporting, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Write efficient and optimized SQL queries to support application features and reports.
  • Manage and improve database performance, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Collaborate with application developers to ensure efficient data access and usage.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, debug errors, and ensure data quality.
  • Participate in database design discussions and contribute to best practices.
  • Maintain documentation for database structures, processes, and changes.
  • Assist in database backup, recovery, and data migration tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer or SQL Developer.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with RDBMS like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL (specify what your company uses).

  • Experience with:

  • Stored procedures, triggers, functions

  • Joins, subqueries, indexing

  • Query optimization techniques

  • Understanding of database design principles and normalization.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of data security and backup strategies.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git.

Good to Have (Optional)

  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell)
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
