About the Role

The Foresta by Joysuites Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., located in the peaceful and scenic surroundings of Paud, Mulshi, is seeking an experienced and highly capable General Manager to head the overall operations of our premium 5-star property. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in luxury hospitality, excellent leadership qualities, and a proven track record of managing large-scale hotel operations.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive revenue performance, maintain operational excellence, and build a high-performing team aligned with the brand's values and standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

  • Manage all operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Engineering, Security, Sales, Finance, HR, and Guest Services.
  • Ensure daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with 5-star quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs across all departments.

Guest Experience Management

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and personalized service.
  • Handle VIP guests, service recovery cases, and guest escalations.
  • Analyze feedback, reviews, and performance reports to improve service standards.

Financial Management and Business Strategy

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and P&L performance.
  • Drive revenue growth across Rooms, F&B, Banquets, Weddings, Events, and ancillary services.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership to execute short-term and long-term business strategies.

Team Leadership and Human Resources

  • Lead, guide, and mentor department heads and operational staff.
  • Maintain strong manpower planning, recruitment, training, and performance review systems.
  • Build a culture of discipline, ownership, accountability, and service excellence.

Food & Beverage and Banquet Operations

  • Supervise restaurants, bars, banquets, room service, and outdoor catering operations.
  • Ensure quality control, food cost management, menu planning, and smooth event execution.
  • Lead planning and delivery of large-scale weddings, corporate events, and MICE activities.

Property Maintenance and Compliance

  • Ensure the property's maintenance, cleanliness, and infrastructure adhere to luxury standards.
  • Oversee engineering operations, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory guidelines, licenses, and safety norms.

Brand Building and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent The Foresta at corporate meetings, industry events, and partner interactions.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, travel partners, government bodies, and local communities.
  • Support brand initiatives and maintain the property's market reputation.

Pre-Opening Responsibilities (If applicable)

  • Supervise pre-opening activities such as recruitment, licensing, procurement, SOP development, and operational planning.
  • Ensure smooth launch and stabilization of operations.

Desired Candidate ProfileExperience

  • 15–20 years of experience in luxury 5-star hotels or resorts.
  • Minimum 7–10 years in senior leadership roles such as Resident Manager, EAM, Hotel Manager, or General Manager.
  • Strong experience in managing large operations, events, weddings, and hospitality functions.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Administration.
  • Certifications in leadership, revenue management, or related fields will be an advantage.
