Project Overview:

Offshore Bangalore team is currently engaged in developing real-time ingestion pipelines, pulling timeseries and event frame data from 34+ diverse data sources. This complex data ecosystem requires deep validation strategies, robust automation, and tight collaboration with the Tredence QA team member to ensure high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Validation & Quality Strategy:

  2. Lead validation of real-time series and event frame data from multiple data sources.

  3. Collaborate with Tredence QA to define and implement a robust data QA strategy tailored for real-time ingestion pipelines.

  4. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data across the pipeline.

  5. Application Testing (Python-Based):

  6. Review, understand, and test custom applications built in Python.

  7. Develop automated or manual testing frameworks as needed to ensure end-to-end functionality and robustness.

  8. Provide code-level feedback and validation of business logic.

  9. Power BI Reports & HP-ALM Integration:

  10. Validate multiple Power BI reports tracked within HP-ALM.

  11. Ensure that visualizations are backed by correct data sources and reflect accurate KPIs.

  12. Automate regression tests wherever possible.

  13. API Testing and Automation Frameworks:

  14. Test and validate API calls used across the project codebase.

  15. Design a scalable automation framework for API testing and data validation.

  16. Handle scenarios involving file-based data ingestion, ensuring integrity and proper handling.

  17. Tooling and Collaboration:

  18. Strong working knowledge of HP-ALM for requirement tracking, test planning, and defect management.

  19. Use JIRA (integrated with HP-ALM) to manage project tasks, QA sprints, and documentation.
  20. Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, data engineers, and QA leads from Tredence and Lilly teams.

Required Skills:

  • Strong Python proficiency able to read, write, and validate complex codebases.
  • Proven experience in data QA for real-time pipelines, particularly with timeseries/event data.
  • Solid knowledge of API testing (Postman, Python, or equivalent tools).
  • Familiarity with Power BI validation, especially in regulated environments.
  • Experience working with HP-ALM, including test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle.
  • Understanding of JIRA workflows and integration with QA processes.
  • Experience working in regulated or healthcare domains is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in writing Data validation automated scripts in Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience in real-time data platforms like Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, or OSIsoft PI is a bonus.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional Agile team, managing multiple data sources and stakeholders
