Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for an Assistant Managing Editor. The role entails overseeing the submission, review, and publication processes to ensure the quality of scientific publications. Responsibilities include collaborating with authors, reviewers, and editors, managing deadlines, coordinating with the editorial team, maintaining publication standards, and providing input for strategic improvements. The Assistant Managing Editor will also assist in developing editorial policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong editorial skills, including proofreading, content editing, and writing
  • Ability to manage projects, coordinate the peer-review process, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with scientific publishing processes and content management systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for managing interactions with authors, reviewers, and editors
  • A background in science, research, or related fields; a degree in science, publishing, or a related field is preferred
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools
