Job Summary:

The Goan Commis 1 is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of authentic Goan dishes, ensuring traditional flavors, textures, and high-quality presentation. The role requires strong knowledge of Goan cuisine, spices, and seafood handling, along with maintaining hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Goan dishes, including seafood curries, pork and chicken preparations, rice dishes, and traditional accompaniments.
  • Ensure authenticity in flavor, spice balance, and presentation of Goan cuisine.
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and executing menu items and daily specials.
  • Maintain mise-en-place for assigned section before and during service.
  • Handle seafood and meats hygienically, ensuring proper storage and freshness.
  • Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency in portion size and presentation.
  • Support in controlling food waste and monitoring kitchen inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation in accordance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or ingredient shortages to the supervisor.
  • Ensure teamwork, discipline, and respect within the kitchen hierarchy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
