Core responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers: Collaborate to understand technical job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source candidates: Use various channels like job boards, social media, and professional networks to find potential candidates for IT roles. This often includes using niche platforms like LinkedIn, Stack Overflow, and GitHub.
- Screen applicants: Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates and conduct pre-screening calls to assess technical abilities and cultural fit.
- Conduct interviews: Perform various types of interviews, including phone, video, and in-person, using structured interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions.
- Manage the hiring process: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, candidate feedback, offer negotiations, and onboarding.
- Build a talent pipeline: Develop and maintain relationships with tech talent for future hiring needs.
- Stay informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest IT industry trends, technologies, and products.
- Promote the company: Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting its reputation as a great place to work.
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience as a Technical or IT Recruiter
- Hands-on experience with different interview formats
- Ability to understand and explain IT job requirements
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, such as social media recruiting and Boolean search
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
