Role : Campus Network Engineer

Location : Bangalore/Pune

Role Description :

The candidate will be responsible for advising customers on suitable Campus Network Edge solutions that align with their business objectives.

These solutions may include both wired infrastructure (e.g., switches, routers) and wireless infrastructure (e.g., access points, wireless controllers, network management tools, and endpoint security solutions).

The candidate will lead the design, implementation, and migration of campus network solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across all components.

This role involves working on complex problems that require in-depth analysis of multiple factors and the application of advanced subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and architect scalable, secure, and resilient multi-vendor campus network solutions, including wired (switches) and wireless (access points, controllers) components.

- Develop high-level and low-level network design documentation prior to deployment.

- Create detailed "as-built" documentation following implementation.

- Support pursuit and pre-sales activities by analyzing customer requirements and proposing tailored network solutions.

- Conduct campus network assessments, perform gap analyses, and provide recommendations aligned with industry best practices.

- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and orchestration to enhance operational efficiency.

- Lead the design, assessment, implementation, deployment, and migration of campus wired and wireless solutions in multi-vendor environments, with a focus on Aruba products.

- Manage multiple project teams, overseeing all stages of design and deployment for complex enterprise network environments, including solution design, analysis, configuration, testing, and integration.

- Provide domain-specific expertise in enterprise networking during both delivery and pursuit phases.

- Drive innovation by integrating new technologies and methodologies into projects.

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Skill Requirements :

- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in professional services involving design, architecture, deployment, and migration of Campus Edge solutions (Wired and Wireless).

- Mandatory : 3-4 years of design, implementation, configuration, and migration experience in large-scale Aruba Campus Edge networking technologies, including :

1. Aruba CX switches, CAP/IAP, Controllers (AOS 8.0/10.0)

2. AirWave, Aruba Central, Aruba Activate

- Strong understanding of generic wireless network design and implementation

- Experience with Juniper Mist Platform, including :

1. Marvis & Mist Edge solutions

2. Juniper SD-WAN

3. Security & Access Control

- Mandatory : 1- 2 years of recent experience in ClearPass deployment, including :

1. Policy Manager, Guest Solution, OnGuard, OnBoard

x and TACACS configuration

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred :

- Secondary skillset in Cisco Routing & Switching and Cisco Wireless technologies.

- DevOps skills in networking (e.g., API integration, scripting in Python, Ansible, etc.)

Certifications :

Preferred :

- Aruba : ACMP, ACMX, ACDX (or any professional-level Aruba certification)

- Juniper : JNCIx certifications

- Cisco : CCNP/CCDP (Routing & Switching/Wireless)

- Wireless Design : Ekahau ECSE

- Other Aruba certifications : ACCP, ACCX, ACSP, AWMP, ACA, ASA
