Job Description – Assistant Professor (Civil Engineering)

Department: Civil Engineering

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in Civil Engineering (Completed or Pursuing)
  • OR
  • M.Tech / M.E in Civil Engineering

OR

  • B.Tech / B.E in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant academic/industry experienceKey Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate-level Civil Engineering subjects.

  • Prepare lesson plans, lab manuals, study materials, and assignments.
  • Conduct theory and practical lab sessions as per the academic timetable.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, assessments, and project reviews.
  • Guide students in internships, mini-projects, and final-year projects.
  • Participate in departmental activities, academic committees, and meetings.
  • Conduct research, publish papers, and support accreditation activities (NBA/NAAC).
  • Maintain discipline, academic records, and student attendance.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement processes.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge in Civil Engineering subjects such as Structural Engineering, Geotechnical, Transportation, Environmental, and Surveying.
  • Good communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to effectively mentor and motivate students.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in research and academic growth.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of teaching or industry experience in Civil Engineering.
