Position Summary

Cyber Compliance Specialist to ensure our organization adheres to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and implementing compliance initiatives to safeguard our digital assets and support our overall security strategy.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO
  • Proven experience in compliance, auditing, or cybersecurity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and interpret complex regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO/IEC 27001.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with regulatory and business needs.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and gap analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and non-compliance issues in IT systems and processes.
  • Auditing and Reporting: Lead internal and external cybersecurity audits, prepare compliance reports, and work on remediation plans for identified gaps.
  • Training and Awareness: Design and deliver cybersecurity awareness training programs to ensure all employees understand compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with the IT security team in incident response activities, ensuring that compliance issues are addressed promptly.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and monitor third-party vendors for compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of compliance activities, audit results, and remediation efforts

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Experience with Audit Management tools
  • Security certification g. Security+, Network +, A+ etc.
  • Prior experience leading or managing security audits at a SaaS/Cloud company or as a Security Auditor at an audit firm
  • Systems Admin or Network Admin experience implementing security controls
