Job Summary/Objective:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will spearhead business development initiatives for State Public Distribution System (PDS) and Excise opportunities across India. This role involves managing and promoting the TVS-E product portfolio to state government entities, ensuring business growth, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. The position is based in Chennai but involves frequent travel and extended stays in target states as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and capture business opportunities in State PDS and Excise projects.

  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers in state government organizations.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal creation, bidding, and contract negotiations.

  • Align TVS-E product solutions with client needs and government project requirements.

  • Stay updated on market trends, government policies, and competitor activities to drive competitive advantage.

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets, ensuring consistent reporting and adherence to compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.

Required Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree (MBA in Marketing preferred).

  • Proven experience in selling IT products to government organizations.

  • Strong command of English and Hindi, both written and verbal.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of government procurement processes and sales strategies.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Familiarity with the TVS-E product
