Description
  • Supervises, coordinates, provides leadership to, and reviews the work of assigned SMD staff. 
  • Assigns work to meet deadlines in accordance with schedules fixed by higher supervision. 
  • Develops, recommends, and implements work methods and procedures in areas of responsibility. Prepares reports concerning section activities.
  • Technology business lead (SME) supporting the tools and technology that enables supplier onboarding
  • Responsible for Supplier data migration for new acquisitions and mergers
  • Acts as the liaison with Internal Audit and SOX compliancy team to support global SMD audits and monthly SOX control reviews
  • Collaborate with other departments and organizations to resolve operational issues (AP, Finance, Business requestors etc). 
  • Provide reports and monitor KPIs around health of Supplier Master Data, including highlighting exceptions or red flags and request turnaround time.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counselling, feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to. 
  • Read and follow the UL Business Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices
  • Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
  • Full time bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and preferably 5+ years relevant experience within Data Management
  • Detailed knowledge of SMD practices and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of automated SMD software systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with Oracle supplier master data
  • Cross-functional understanding of other accounts groups, in particular Accounts payable and Sourcing 
  • Strong focus on data accuracy and ability to self-review their own work.
