Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Business Development Executive to drive both B2B and B2C sales initiatives. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of experience in business development, with a strong network in academic institutions and corporates. This role is field-focused and requires frequent visits to engineering colleges, non-engineering colleges, schools, and organizations to promote our offerings and generate revenue.
Key Responsibilities1. Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify business opportunities within the academic and corporate sectors.
- Develop and execute effective strategies to increase market reach and revenue.
- Track industry trends, competitor insights, and emerging challenges.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and target potential clients across engineering colleges, non-engineering colleges, schools, and corporates.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Present and promote products/services, highlighting value propositions.
3. Field Sales & Networking
- Perform regular field visits to academic institutions to establish long-term relationships.
- Attend academic events, seminars, and conferences to expand network connections.
- Leverage existing contacts to generate leads and convert them into business opportunities.
4. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall organizational revenue goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals.
- Negotiate and close deals while ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
5. Client Support & Follow-up
- Provide timely and effective support to existing clients, resolving concerns and queries.
- Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients and maintain consistent follow-up for retention.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, leads, pipeline updates, and client interactions.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, market insights, and client feedback.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align on business development strategies and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Business Development, preferably in the academic sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong network within academic institutions and corporates in Tamil Nadu.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and field visits.
