Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Implement clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.

Database & System Integration

  • Work with relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Integrate applications with external systems and third-party APIs.

Performance & Quality

  • Debug, optimise, and enhance existing applications.
  • Write unit tests and ensure code quality using tools like JUnit, Mockito, etc.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical improvements.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with frontend developers, QA teams, and product owners.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retros).

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Core Java and Advanced Java concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP (added advantage).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume, transactional applications.
  • Exposure to front-end frameworks (Angular/React) is a plus—not mandatory.
  • Experience working in staff augmentation or client-driven environments.
  • Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is a bonus.
