Position Title: Electrical Cable Costing Officer
Position Code: OC01
Location: Dubai/Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Electrical Cable Costing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and managing the cost structures associated with our electrical cable products. This role requires a deep understanding of costing principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Analysis:
    Perform detailed cost analysis of electrical cable products, including materials, labor, overhead, and other related costs.

  • Cost Estimation:
    Develop accurate cost estimates for new products, product modifications, and custom orders.

  • Pricing Strategies:
    Assist in the development of pricing strategies that ensure competitive positioning while maintaining profitability.

  • Data Management:
    Maintain and update cost data in the companys ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present detailed cost reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with the Design, Production, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on costing and pricing strategies.

  • Compliance:
    Ensure all costing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualification
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing or electrical cable industry.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modelling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
