Manager - Data Privacy Officer

Implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the applicable Data Privacy regulatory requirement like GDPR, DPDP etc. Evaluating the existing data protection framework to identify areas of no or partial compliance, and rectify any issuesDeveloping templates for data collection, assisting with data mapping, and vendor management reviewsImprove the maturity towards a robust Data Privacy risk management program - identifying risks, working with the business to devise mitigation and monitoring their effectiveness.Maintain records of all data processing activities of the companyCreating educational material, raising awareness through various initiatives, and providing training.Serving as the primary point of contact for queries in the business related to Data Privacy.Reviewing vendor contracts and consents needed to implement projectsMonitoring changes to local privacy laws and making recommendations to the Risk Steering Committee when appropriateDeveloping and delivering privacy training to various business functions.Coordinating and conducting data privacy auditsMaintaining a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents including impact assessments, security breach response, complaints, claims or notificationsEnsuring that the IT systems and procedures comply with all relevant data privacy and protection law, regulation and policy (including in relation to the retention and destruction of data)Working with designated privacy law consultants to help advise on local data privacy law issues in respective office locations. RequirementsGraduate/ Post Graduate in Business Management - Engineering Preferred Total 7 -10 years of work experience with 3 -4 years in Legal/ Data Privacy/ Compliance/ Risk ManagementUnderstanding of business and system operations and the ability to communicate in these areas.Strong project management skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential informationHave excellent communication and influencing skillsAbility to connect the dots and look at the big pictureDisplay a proactive approach to Data Privacy complianceExperienced in managing key business relationshipsCollaborates across teams / functions / regions
