Primary Job Title: Consultant Physician - General Medicine (MD/DNB) with 2D Echo

Industry: Healthcare — Tertiary care / Multispecialty hospital & diagnostic services. We deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care with integrated diagnostic imaging and cardiology services in central India. This on-site consultant role is based in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh and is focused on high-quality clinical care, bedside echocardiography, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care across OPD, IPD and emergency settings as a Consultant in General Medicine, managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Perform and interpret transthoracic 2D echocardiography independently for diagnosis, monitoring, and guiding management decisions.
• Lead clinical rounds, prepare treatment plans, and coordinate with cardiology, ICU and other specialty teams for escalations and interventions.
• Document clinical findings, echo reports and treatment notes accurately in hospital records; ensure timely communication with patients and families.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, and adherence to hospital protocols, infection control and patient safety standards.
• Mentor junior doctors/nursing staff and contribute to departmental training and case discussions when required.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have

• MD (General Medicine) or DNB (General Medicine) from a recognised medical university.
• Valid medical registration (State Medical Council) to practice in India.
• Proven hands-on experience performing and reporting transthoracic 2D echocardiography independently.
• 3+ years of clinical experience post-qualification in a hospital setting (OPD/IPD/ER exposure).
• Strong clinical judgment, proficiency in ECG interpretation, and ability to manage acute medical and cardiac presentations.
• Excellent communication skills, patient-centred approach, and accurate medical documentation.

Preferred

• Previous experience in cardiology or echo lab, or formal training/certification in echocardiography.
• Experience working in tertiary-care hospitals or high-volume community hospitals in India.
• Comfort with hospital information systems / EMR and adherence to clinical governance practices.

Compensation, Location & Workplace

• Location: Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh — On-site role.
• Competitive salary: ₹4,00,000 to ₹4,50,000 per month (gross) based on experience and credentials.
• Full-time Consultant-level position with scheduled OPD, IPD duties and on-call responsibilities as per hospital rota.
