Position Summary:

The Finance Manager oversees daily financial operations, reporting, and controls to ensure accurate accounting, strong cash flow, and compliance. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, supports decision-making with actionable financial insights, and handles statutory filings and audits. The manager leads the finance team, coordinates with banks and vendors, optimizes working capital, and ensures pricing, cost controls, and reconciliation processes support the store's sales, profitability, and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability improvement.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes; maintain P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements.
  • Prepare management and statutory financial reports; handle credit/debit notes for stock corrections and promotions.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, bank relationships, and payments.
  • Ensure tax and regulatory compliance; coordinate audits and implement internal controls.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor margins across products/business units.
  • Lead and develop the finance team; allocate tasks and ensure process accuracy.
  • Support strategic initiatives, feasibility studies, and cross-functional decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Freshers open; OR 3–5+ years finance/accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or trading is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems, Excel, and financial reporting.
