DC Operations & Maintenance Manager

Work Location

RCP-Navi Mumbai & should willing to travel as and when required

Experience

12-15 Years' experience in managing Data Center Operations and Maintenance

Should able to manage Mechanical, Electrical & IBMS Systems

Responsible for preparation of Daily, Monthly and Quarterly report and present it to leadership team

Execute modification/revamp projects related to DC without affecting SLA or normal operations 

Qualification

BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation with 12Years' of functional experience in DC Ops

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives

Ø Highly Resourceful for maintaining and preparation of DC Facility Site Standard Procedures and documentation

Ø Ability to work collaboratively with Project Team, Construction & Engineering Team

Ø To Develop and execute a comprehensive Operations & Maintenance plan for respective site

Ø Capacity Planning - Through regular monitoring of Data Center capacity

Ø Contribute to CAMC contracts, Scope of Work finalization

Ø Contribute to System upgradation & Performance improvement activities.

Ø Extremely good managing outsourced manpower and Vendors

Operations Excellence

Ø Infrastructure Management of Mission critical Data Centre Facility

Ø Maintaining Electrical/HVAC/IBMS SLA of highest standards

Ø Experience on Project HOTO procedures of mechanical systems

Ø Ability to work collaboratively with Project Team, Construction Team

Ø To Lead and Manage DC facilities at site location and maintain 100% uptime

Ø Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and identify improvement area, respond to emergency situations.

Ø Proven understanding of mission critical systems and NBC, IS, HSE, OSHA, ASHRAE, TIA- 942 Regulations/Guidelines that pertain to Hyperscale Data Center

Ø Skilled in reading construction drawings for all fields (electrical, mechanical, plumbing)

Ø Ability to understand complex technical operations environments, communicate issues and provide solutions to all levels of the organization.

Ø Ability to prioritize multiple assignments of opposing priorities and work them through to an effective resolution

Ø Preparation of annual OPEX & CAPEX budget

Customer/ Stakeholder Management

Ø Maintain transparent, regular and timely flow of communication with management on the state of the Facility Site and its Operations

Ø Handle customers visits & customer queries

Ø Managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders / Vendors

Technical

 Experience

Organizational Leadership:

Ø Contribute to short and long-term organizational operations planning and strategy as a member of the team. Inclined toward energy efficient activities. Maintaining efficient PUE of the system

Risk Management

Ø Serve as primary contact person to addressing Statutory, Regulatory & Technical issues related to Mechanical systems and documents.

Ø Availability Management

Ø Managing uptime of 24x7x365 for Data centers Facility Infrastructure. Maintained redundancy of system healthy

Maintenance Management

Ø Propose and implement energy & cooling optimization initiatives

Ø Preparation and execution of maintenance schedule for all utility infrastructure

Contracts Management

Ø Manage Vendor relations

Ø Development, selection & evaluation of vendors / sub-vendors

Ø Review AMC & SLA of Mechanical equipment's

Ø Maintenance interface with manpower sharing agency

Monitoring, Operation & maintenance of Utilities like

Ø Electrical System – Transformer, HT/LT Panels, UPS, PDU, Batteries, etc.

Ø HVAC System – PAHU, Air cooled/Water cooled Centrifugal/Screw Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, Piping & valves, Exhaust Fans, Fresh Air Fans, AHUs, Chemical Filters, Water Mist Systems, Cooling Towers, Cranes,

Ø Emergency Diesel Generator sets & UG Tank

Ø Knowledge of automation systems like BMS System, Water Leak Detection System, VESDA System, Rodent Repellent System, Fire detection & extinguishing systems, CCTV, Access Control, Electrical Systems, Lifts.

General

Ø Failure root cause analysis HVAC & Mechanical systems.

Ø Preparation of reports

Ø Controlling day to day activities

Ø Preparation of shift scheduled, preventive Maintenance scheduled etc.

Ø Testing/trouble shooting of the above maintained equipment

Ø Should be capable of handling shutdowns of mechanical systems without affecting the services

Ø Providing remote during Internal & External Audits

Ø Experience Data Centre Operations Management

Ø Experience in HVAC Engineering

Other Requirements

Ø Familiarization with OSS, SAP PM & MM Modules.

Ø Effective oral and written communication skills, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
