Role Overview -

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Joint Manager/Manager - Direct Tax to join our Finance team.

This is a high-impact role responsible for end-to-end Corporate Taxation, International Taxation, Transfer Pricing, and Ind AS-related tax compliance. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, manage complex tax matters, and contribute to strategic financial decision-making.

Role & responsibilities

Direct Taxation

  • Prepare and review advance tax and final tax computations under the Income Tax Act.
  • File Income Tax Returns, Tax Audit Reports, and statutory forms such as Form 3CEB, 29B, etc.
  • Reconcile tax GLs with filed returns and ensure accuracy.

TDS & International Tax

  • Manage TDS/withholding tax for both domestic and foreign transactions.
  • Strong understanding of Section 115A, 195, and DTAA provisions.
  • Prepare and file Form 15CA for foreign remittances.

Financial Reporting (IND AS)

  • Prepare Deferred Tax Computations and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) workings for IND AS financials.
  • Provide audit support and address queries from Statutory and Internal Auditors.

Assessment & Compliance Management

  • Handle Income Tax assessments under Sections 143(3), 147, 153A/C, and represent the company before tax authorities.
  • Support litigations including CIT Appeals, revisions under section 264, and respond to departmental notices.
  • Follow up with the Income Tax Department for pending refunds.

Transfer Pricing

  • Prepare Local Files and Master Files as per Transfer Pricing regulations.
  • Prepare documentation under Section 92D, Rule 10D/10DA, and assist in TP audits.

Tax Governance & MIS

  • Present periodic MIS reports on assessments, litigation status, refunds, and regulatory updates to management.
  • Provide inputs on amendments to tax laws and evaluate their impact on the business

Preferred candidate profile

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Taxation, International Taxation, or Transfer Pricing, preferably within an EPC-driven organization
