We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and Talend to design, build, and optimize data pipelines. This is a development-focused role (not DevOps) where you will work on creating Talend jobs, designing Snowflake data models, and implementing advanced SQL transformations to enable high-quality data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience in ETL development, and proven ability to optimize large-scale data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines from various sources into Snowflake using Talend.
  • Create and maintain Talend jobs for data ingestion, transformation, and scheduling.
  • Work extensively on Snowflake features such as:
  • Table design and optimization
  • Time Travel and Cloning
  • Data Sharing
  • Query optimization
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations, merge scripts (insert/update), and stored procedures.
  • Implement data masking, data quality checks, and performance tuning.
  • Support and troubleshoot daily Talend batch jobs; perform L3 production support for ETL failures and performance issues.
  • Work with TAC/TMC for Talend job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Document design, processes, and troubleshooting steps for long-term maintainability.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Talend components (tMap, tJoin, tFilterRow, tAggregateRow, tFileInput/Output, tOracleInput, tSnowflakeInput/Output, etc.).
  • Ability to extract and process data from multiple sources, including APIs (REST/SOAP), flat files, relational databases, and cloud services.
  • Experience in parameterization, context variables, and reusable Talend jobs for scalable solutions.
  • Proficient in error handling, logging, and debugging within Talend jobs.
  • Knowledge of job orchestration, parallelization, and optimization to improve ETL performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake (development, optimization, advanced features).
  • Proven expertise with Talend (TAC/TMC) for ETL development and job management.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL (merge, insert/update, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Experience in data pipeline design and ETL optimization.
  • Knowledge of data masking and best practices for data security.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with L3 troubleshooting experience.
  • Good communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
