Job Title: Robotics and AI Teacher

Location: St. Joan's School, Salt Lake

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (as applicable)

Position Overview:

The Robotics and AI Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Coding. The teacher will guide students in hands-on learning through projects involving microcontrollers, sensors, and AI tools, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technological curiosity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Robotics and AI classes for various grade levels.
  • Teach electronics, coding (Python / Scratch), sensors, automation, and AI fundamentals.
  • Design and implement project-based learning modules aligned with the school's STEM curriculum.
  • Guide students in building robotic and AI prototypes and preparing for competitions.
  • Maintain Robotics & AI Lab equipment and ensure safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with Science, Math, and Computer Science teachers for interdisciplinary projects.
  • Stay updated with current trends in Robotics, AI, and educational technology.

Qualifications & Educational Background:

Candidates should possess one or more of the following degrees:

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics / Electrical / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering
  • B.Sc / M.Sc in Computer Science / Electronics / Applied Physics
  • BCA / MCA
  • B.Ed (preferred for teaching positions)
  • Professional certification in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or STEM Education (preferred)

Additional Educational Background:

  • Education from an ICSE / ISC school background preferred.
  • Teaching experience in ICSE / ISC curriculum schools is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms, or similar kits.
  • Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or block-based programming platforms (Scratch, Blockly).
  • Familiarity with AI tools (Teachable Machine, TensorFlow, OpenCV).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Innovative, organized, and passionate about technology integration in education.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience mentoring students in robotics and innovation competitions (e.g., IRC, WRO, ATL).
  • Creative approach to curriculum delivery and project guidance.
  • Team-oriented and committed to promoting a culture of innovation and learning.
