About Nova:

Nova is building the next-generation dating app focused on meaningful connections. Unlike traditional swipe-based apps, Nova uses emotional intelligence to help users navigate conversations, recognize emotional patterns, and foster genuinely compatible relationships. Our mission is to fix the dating experience by making it more respectful, self-aware, and emotionally safe.

Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Tech Co-Founder to lead the development of Nova's early product. This is a coding-first role: you will architect and build the first versions of the app, iterate quickly based on real user feedback, and work closely with the founding team on product strategy.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong backend or full-stack development experience; minimum 7 years in product-focused roles.
  • Proven track record in building scalable, production-grade web and mobile applications.
  • Expertise in modern backend frameworks, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on mobile app development experience is a plus.
  • AI/ML experience is a strong plus, especially in NLP or behavioral analytics.
  • Ideal candidates are current or former employees of Microsoft, Google, or other product-driven companies.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment; can work across code, product, and strategy.

Equity & Compensation:

  • Competitive equity for a co-founder role, up to 9%, depending on experience and contribution.
