About Position:

The Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. This includes architecting cloud-native data pipelines, integrating tagging logic, and ensuring high-performance data processing across Azure services.

What You'll Do:

  • Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end architecture for FTS tagging workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and DataBricks.
  • Data Engineering Leadership: Guide the development of PySpark-based ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing financial data in Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
  • Tagging Logic Integration: Collaborate with upstream systems to extract and centralise tagging rules from Cirrus, PCMT, and FDS systems
  • Migration Strategy: Lead migration of MySQL-based tagging rules to Cosmos DB using ADF and the Azure Cosmos DB Data Migration Toolkit.
  • Performance Optimisation: Ensure minimal latency and high throughput in data pipelines; monitor and optimise Redis caching and Cosmos DB queries.
  • Governance & Compliance: Implement data governance and master data management practices across the FTS ecosystem
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with PMs, developers, and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, document architecture decisions, and support SoW reviews.

Expertise You'll Bring:

  • Cloud & Data Platforms: Azure (ADF, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Data Lake), DataBricks, Cosmos DB, Redis.
  • Programming & Scripting: Python, PySpark, SQL, GitHub Actions.
  • Data Architecture: Experience with Delta Lake, Cosmos DB key-value mappings, and scalable tagging logic frameworks.
  • ETL & Orchestration: Strong grasp of ETL workflows, pipeline monitoring, and orchestration using Azure EventHub/Service Bus.
  • Database Expertise: MySQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB; experience in migrating and reconciling data across platforms.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation abilities.
