- Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the sales plan for the assigned channel or territory to meet and exceed business targets such as new business premium, persistency, and cross-sell ratios.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a team of advisors, agents, or partners to build a high-performance distribution network.
- Coach and mentor the team through regular product training, sales skill sessions (prospecting, objection handling, and closing techniques), and compliance workshops.
- Collaborate closely with partners (such as bank branches or corporate agents) — set sales objectives, generate and track leads, and promote upselling or cross-selling based on customer need analysis.
- Monitor key performance metrics like advisor productivity, sales conversions, persistency, and service quality — conduct performance reviews and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Engage in field-intensive activities — accompany team members to client meetings, conduct local market visits, and expand business networks.
- Build and maintain strong internal relationships with cross-functional teams including branch operations, training, compliance, and legal to ensure smooth business functioning.
- Maintain accurate sales and field reports, prepare forecasts, analyse business performance, and derive actionable plans for improvement.
