Software Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative team at SS&C FinTech Services India Private Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our financial technology products and services. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly within the FinTech domain.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software development, preferably within a FinTech environment.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs) and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, ) is a plus.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
