Position Overview

We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join our growing global Core Network Team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in networking concepts, hands-on experience with switching, routing, and firewalls, and a strong interest in network security and server administration. This is a great opportunity to work on complex enterprise environments, learn from experienced engineers, and grow rapidly in a dynamic global organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, NAT, VPN, security policies, content filtering, intrusion prevention.
  • Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, and respond to alerts to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Support day-to-day network operations, including troubleshooting connectivity issues, ISP monitoring & troubleshooting
  • Assist in server setup, configuration, and basic administration, including Windows and Linux servers.
  • Participate in network security tasks, including basic penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security hardening.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps in a structured manner.
  • Stay up to date with emerging network security.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in networking or IT infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, switching concepts, and network topologies.
  • Hands-on knowledge of firewall configuration and basic network security.
  • Familiarity with server administration (Windows/Linux) and network services such as DHCP, DNS, VPN.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools like PRTG, Zabbix, or similar.
  • Knowledge of pentesting tools and basic security assessments is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PFsense/OPNsense firewall is highly appreciated.
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
  • CCNA / CompTIA Network+ / RHCSA
  • Any relevant security certification (e.g., CEH, Security+) will be an advantage.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team.
Shift:

Primarily a Night Shift.

Availability:

Must be available for emergency or maintenance windows outside of normal hours.
