Key Responsibilities

  • Inspection and Diagnostics:

  • Preventative Maintenance:
    Conducting regular maintenance services such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, and checking fluid levels. 


  • Repair and Replacement:
    Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including engine parts, brake systems, and electronic sensors. 


  • Customer Communication:
    Explaining automotive issues and repair needs to customers clearly and professionally. 


  • Record Keeping:
    Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed on vehicles. 


  • Safety and Environment:
    Adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with state vehicle requirements. 



Essential Qualifications

  • Education:
    A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification often required or preferred. 


  • Certifications:
    Valid automotive technician certifications, such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications, are highly valued. 


  • Experience:
    Proven experience as an automobile technician or mechanic is necessary. 


  • Technical Knowledge:
    A strong understanding of traditional mechanical systems (engines, transmissions) and modern electronic systems is crucial. 


  • Problem-Solving:
    Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to solve complex vehicle problems. 


  • Soft Skills:
    Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with clients and colleagues.
