Role Overview

The Junior MEP Engineer will support the planning, installation, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in hospital and infrastructure projects. This role is designed for early-career engineers who are eager to learn, contribute to site execution, and grow into specialized MEP leadership positions

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV).
  • Support site supervision under guidance of senior engineers, ensuring work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings for layouts, sections, and details as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and site teams for smooth execution of daily tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation: daily progress reports, checklists, material requests, and inspection records.
  • Assist in quality control checks and compliance with project standards and ISO documentation.
  • Learn and apply hospital-specific MEP requirements, including infection control, medical gas systems, and fire safety protocols.
  • Support in resolving technical issues at site by escalating to senior engineers.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning and scheduling discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and statutory compliance at all times.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) for drafting, measurement, and layout preparation.
  • Basic knowledge of MEP systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with MS Office; Revit knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Willingness to work at project sites (domestic and international).
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to hospital infrastructure standards.

Qualifications

  • B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of experience in MEP contracting or construction projects (freshers may apply).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12, ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Aluva Town Bus Stand, Kochi, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
