Engineering Head

Qualifications / Experience:

• Graduate in Engineering Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical & Electronics.
• 20+ years in laboratory operations (Electric Vehicle/Vehicle Dynamics/Tyre Testing).
• At least 5+ years of experience in senior management leading a team of professionals in any of the given labs.
• Masters degree in related field of engineering is preferred.

Expected Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the teams in the Vehicle Dynamics Lab, EV Testing Lab, and Tyre Testing Lab.

2. Develop and implement strategic plans for each lab to align with the organizations goals and objectives.

3. Ensure that all testing activities meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and NATRAX policies. SOPs are created and implemented for test operations in the labs.

4. Stay and keep the team updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and testing methodologies.

5. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results through proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.

6. Create plan for lab expansion and execute newer rigs & machines for lab expansion, through well laid internal approvals.

7. Automation of lab management systems to increase efficiency and transparency.

8. Develop and maintain testing protocols / standards for high level of performance, safety, durability and quality.

9. Ensure that all team members are trained and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

10. Develop and manage the budget for each lab, planning execution of lab/facility upgradation in terms of machinery and other resources

11. Lead initiatives to enhance testing capabilities and efficiency.

12. Collaborate with stakeholders for lab work planning and other areas.

13. Coordinate lab partnerships with universities, industries to undertake collaborative research & academic projects, student interaction programs.

14. Encourage and enable team members to enhance skills for learning and professional development.

15. Conduct technical sessions for new technology areas.

Skills desirable:

• Proven experience in automotive testing and evaluation, with a focus on EV testing, vehicle dynamics and tyre testing and power train.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
