Job Description:

An Electrical Head is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of an organization's electrical systems, including design, installation, maintenance, and safety. Key duties involve leading the electrical team, managing projects and budgets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical guidance to junior staff. They are also responsible for implementing safety protocols and driving continuous improvement in electrical processes. 

Core responsibilities

  • Team and project management: 
    Lead and manage the electrical team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful and timely completion. 


  • Technical oversight: 
    Provide technical leadership for electrical design, installation, and maintenance activities. Ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards. 


  • Safety and compliance: 
    Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to prevent electrical hazards. Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant industry standards and regulations. 


  • Cross-functional collaboration: 
    Work with other departments, such as engineering, project management, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery and operational efficiency. 


  • Strategic planning: 
    Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for electrical systems, including the adoption of new technologies and energy-efficient solutions. 


  • Budget and resource management: 
    Develop and manage departmental budgets, and ensure that resources are used effectively. 



Required skills and qualifications
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team. 
     
  • Technical expertise: Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design, and maintenance. 
     
  • Project management: Proficiency in managing project lifecycles, including planning, execution, and reporting. 
     
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. 
     
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 
     
  • Software proficiency: Experience with relevant software, such as CAD for design.
