A Business Development Internship is an entry-level position designed for recent Post graduates / graduates or those about to graduate. The role focuses on learning and contributing to a company's market growth strategies through research, analysis, and supporting .

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct extensive research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify potential business opportunities. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to the management team.
  • Lead Generation: Use various tools and techniques to identify and qualify potential clients. Develop and maintain a database of prospective clients.
  • Client Outreach and Communication: Assist in drafting compelling emails, proposals, and presentations to engage potential clients. Follow up with leads through phone calls, emails, and meetings.
  • Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships with potential clients and partners. Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies for closing deals. Provide administrative support such as preparing sales materials, scheduling meetings, and maintaining sales records.
  • Data Management: Ensure all client interactions and sales activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system. Generate regular reports on sales performance and market analysis.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (marketing, product, customer support) to ensure a seamless client experience and to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to develop skills in sales techniques, product knowledge, and industry insights.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create persuasive presentations and proposals.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software (like Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and other business tools.
  • Proactive Attitude: Self-starter with a high degree of initiative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Networking Abilities: Comfortable engaging with potential clients and partners at events and through direct outreach.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to take on various tasks as needed.
