The Mould Design Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end design  and development of  composite moulds,  master patterns, and  tooling  required for manufacturing aerospace and  industrial  composite  components. The role involves creating detailed 3D/2D  designs,  supporting CNC programming, and ensuring that all designs meet

functional, dimensional, and process requirements suitable for

composite production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Tool Engineering, or Production Engineering.

2-5 years of experience in mould/tool design, preferably in composite or aerospace applications.

Proficiency in Fusion 360 / CATIA / SolidWorks for 3D modelling and drafting.

Working knowledge of ArtCAM / Mastercam for toolpath programming and CNC machining.

Strong understanding of composite processes (wet layup, prepreg, curing, demoulding, trimming).

Knowledge of tolerance control, GD&T, and surface finish standards.

Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile:

  • Exposure to carbon fiber/epoxy tooling, high-temperature moulds, or RTM/infusion tooling.
  • Experience in autoclave and oven tooling design.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) for tooling stiffness or thermal simulation.
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems and design documentation control.
