Hotel Sales Manager

The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue through room sales, banquet bookings, corporate accounts, events, and groups. This role involves developing sales strategies, building client relationships, responding to enquiries, and coordinating with operations to deliver seamless guest experiences. The Sales Manager plays a key role in achieving hotel sales targets and maximising revenue from rooms, banquets, and events.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, government, travel agencies, wedding planners, and event organisers.
- Conduct sales calls, client visits, and business presentations.
- Develop strong pipelines for banquet events, conferences, and group bookings.
2. Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Promote banquet packages, meeting spaces, wedding packages, corporate rates, and long-stay deals.
- Coordinate with the Revenue Manager on pricing, forecasting, and occupancy strategies.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts to ensure repeat business.
- Provide personalised service to clients planning weddings, conferences, and events.
- Handle client queries, provide proposals, and conduct site inspections.
4. Event & Banquet Sales Coordination
- Understand clients' event requirements and communicate them to the Banquet and F&B teams.
- Work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure smooth planning and execution.
- Oversee the booking process: enquiries, contracting, deposits, and invoicing.
5. Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote hotel services across digital and offline channels.
- Participate in hotel promotions, exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events.
- Create attractive sales packages and promotional offers.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
- Maintain customer databases (CRM) and ensure accurate sales records.
- Track competition, market trends, and pricing analysis.

- Knowledge of hotel operations, banquet services, and event management
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and sales reporting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
