  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation:
    • Cleaning and sanitizing dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors.
    • Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring proper handling and storage.
    • Disposing of waste safely and efficiently, often according to color-coded bins for recycling and waste.
  • Assisting with food and beverage service:
    • Setting up and clearing tables for service, including arranging cutlery, glassware, and tableware.
    • Greeting guests, seating them, presenting menus, and taking table orders.
    • Serving water and other refreshments, refilling drinks, and clearing empty plates.
    • Assisting waiters in collecting food from serving stations and helping with basic food preparation like preparing salads and desserts.
  • Supporting kitchen operations:
    • Maintaining cleanliness in kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing pots and pans, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
    • Assisting with inventory and stock management of cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials, including unloading and storing deliveries.
  • Customer service:
    • Responding to guests' needs and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Directing guests to restrooms or exits.
    • Handling guest requests or complaints proactively and empathetically.
