About the Role

We are looking for a caring, proactive Online Student Counselor to support U.S. middle and high school students in managing their academic workloads and navigating the emotional, social, and interpersonal challenges of adolescence. This role is fully remote and involves virtual sessions focused on assignment planning, stress management, peer relationships, and communication with teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled virtual counseling sessions with students via Zoom/Google Meet.
  • Help students manage assignments, build study routines, and improve time-management skills.
  • Support students in dealing with common teenage challenges including friendship issues, peer pressure, self-esteem concerns, motivation, and academic stress.
  • Provide guidance on communicating effectively with teachers and handling classroom or online learning difficulties.
  • Track student progress and maintain confidential digital records.
  • Communicate with parents as needed to provide updates and coordinate goals.
  • Identify when a student may need to be referred to licensed mental health professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience working with children or teens—preferably in an academic or counseling setting.
  • Strong virtual communication skills and comfort with online platforms.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical standards for working with minors.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with online academic coaching or remote student support.
  • Familiarity with common digital schooling tools (Google Classroom, Canvas, PowerSchool, etc.).
  • Training in youth mental health first aid, conflict resolution, or restorative practices.

Pay: ₹ ₹600.00 per hour
