Job Skills and Responsibilties:

Title: Selenium Automation Test Engineer/Tester

Department: QA/Testing

Purpose: To ensure the reliability, performance and quality of web and mobile applications through automated testing using Selenium and Appium.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Create automated test scripts using Selenium and Appium.

·       Design data-driven and hybrid testing approaches.

·       Execute automated tests for web and mobile applications.

·       Analyze test results, identify defects and report them to developers.

·       Perform regression testing to verify fixes and validate new features.

·       Maintain and update test environments.

·       Troubleshoot test failures and resolve issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·       Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver and Appium.

·       Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python).

·       Experience with various testing frameworks (e.g.TestNG, JUnit).

·       Familiarity with cross-browser testing and debugging.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Strong communication and collaboration skills.

·       Generate detailed test reports and documentation.

Testing Knowledge:

·       Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and best practices.

·       Experience in writing and executing automated test cases for both web and mobile applications.

·       Ability to identify testable events and develop effective test strategies.

Desired Qualifications (Optional):

·       Experience with performance testing.

·       Experience with security testing.

·       Experience with defect management tools.

·       Relevant certifications.

 

Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
