About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Golang and proven leadership experience in backend system design and development. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, design scalable backend architectures, and ensure system reliability, security, and high performance. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong backend fundamentals and experience in containerized microservice environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of backend developers in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Golang.

- Architect and implement microservices and RESTful APIs for high-availability systems.

- Manage and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL) for performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Work extensively on Linux-based environments, ensuring smooth deployment and operations.

- Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.

- Ensure backend systems are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

- Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and QA to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

- Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions proactively.

Required Skills and Experience :

years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Golang.

- Proven team leadership experience in software development.

- Hands-on experience working with Linux environments.

- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

- Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Strong understanding of system performance tuning, security, and application monitoring.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience with container technologies beyond Docker (e.g., Podman, CRI-O).

- Exposure to backend services architecture in large-scale distributed systems.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
